Learn the shirring technique with the Raspberry pattern
Do you need a bit of Summer dress and jumpsuit sewing pattern inspiration for your Raspberry sewing pattern? You’ve come to the right place! The new CocoWawa sewing pattern is perfect to wear for strolling through the city during the long Summer nights or on your holidays near the sea.
You can go for the long leg cropped jumpsuit version, the lovely dress or the playsuit with shorts. The straps are also all interchangeable, from ruffles to bows or with a lovely detail! Now, on this post you will find all sorts of alternatives to give you the inspiration you need to make yours.

All the jumpsuits
Lovely Mijke from @sewitcurly chose to make the long leg option in this beautiful blue floaty fabric. And instead of the usual ruffle, she opted for a laced tape that looks simply gorgeous! Look at the detail on the second picture.
Another beautiful jumpsuit was the option that lovely Suzy @sewing_in_spain went for (of course! as she co-hosts the amazing Sew Together for Summer challenge on Instagram and this year's garment was the jumpsuit). She also added a cute belt for a tighter fit. And! she has also opted for the ruffle strap version.
On the jumpsuit option but opting for the shorts' version, Lisa @bobo_bun has made this super cute and summery playsuit with the bow straps which are so cute! I think this looks is absolutely perfect for hot trips and gingham... it is just the best fabric for this pattern.
The fabric of the next jumpsuit is absolutely amazing... Danica @danicadoesit has made such a gorgeous version! I still remember when she sent me the pics and I was smiling like crazy from ear to ear. I think the effect with the stripes is just incredible.
Last amazing jumpsuit is this one made by Julia @julia_oldspoolsewing in this flowery rayon fabric. I love it so much! She opted for ruffles as well. Who can resist ruffles!!?? :)
Raspberry Summer dress
Now! Let's start with the Summer dress version of Raspberry. I knew this one would be quite popular and it is funny that it was not even on my plans when designing the jumpsuit. Luckily, I thought the shirred bodice would be just perfect for a dress and added this option as well.
First tester version I want to share with you is this beautiful, gorgeous dress made by Constance @cleocmc. Just the perfect Summer dress right there. So in love with the colour and how beautiful she looks on it. One of my favourite!
Now let's continue with another dress version, another favourite (like all of them! hehehe All jumpsuits and dresses are so amazing...). So, Cristy @loveyousew_ opted for the dress with bow straps and wow! I am so in love with this one. She also added a ruffle at the bottom and it gives it yet another dimension of prettiness.
Next will be this Virginia @vokabayashi and her beautiful version in this lovely black printed fabric and regular straps. It was also her first time shirring and she did such a great job! I love the whole look. Another ideal Summer version!
Continuing with the dresses... Joy @sew.with.joy has knocked it out of the park with hers. So so pretty! She went for a shorter length (which you can alter at your pleasure. The original is more or less midi...) and straps with ruffles. So cute!
And yet another beautiful dress made by Jutta in this lovely drapey blue so perfect for Summer! She has opted as well for straps with bows. A very popular choice among this amazing group of testers. Jutta was a bit worried about trying shirring but she said it was a lot of fun tackling something new.
Our last version of the dress is this one made by lovely Ruth @ruth_sews_runs_bakes using this beautiful stripy fabric (look how she has positioned them! Really nice) and also with ruffle straps. Love it!
And to top it all... This amazing hack! made by one of our lovely testers Jasmin @jasminlucero who has hacked the pattern and made it into a top (just leave the skirt or the trousers out of the equation!).
