What I have been sewing...

Hi everybody!

how is the Summer going? Are you sunbathing in a lovely beach? Well, I am still in London (yes, complaining a lot!) and waiting for the holidays to come in August. Can't wait! But in the meantime, I am here again to show you my last sewing projects.

First, this lovely lovely Emery Dress (pattern by amazing Christine Haynes) I wore to my cousin's wedding in Spain last month for what I used a seersucker lilac fabric (perfect for Summer as it is quite light).

I combined it with this beautiful (and super yellow!) Orla Kiely's shoes for Clarks, Poppy's Englad petticoat and one of the most amazing bags I have ever had, a Roald Dahl's Matilda inspired book clutch by Mrs Chaplin Shop.

Here you can see a close up of the fabric and details...

You may think it looks nice, but I confess I had some problems with it while sewing... It was not all candies and smiles! Hahaha. Once, the zip just broke when pulling it up so I had to replaced it (the linen was already in); another time, I bought a new package of needles for my sewing machine as the previous one broke and ALL FIVE NEW NEEDLES BROKE AS WELL! Could not believe it, thought I was in a nightmare! In the end, I was just not putting the needle in the correct way... Ejem, my mistake ;) But, it looked lovely, right?

About the second project I want to talk about, is this super cute Mathilde Blouse. I used a mushroom pattern fabric in pink and red and big bold yellow buttons (yes, I loooove the colour, hahaha).

It is super comfy, it goes with everything and I am now thinking about sewing another one for my mum, as a surprise, with some of the lilac seersucker I have left from the dress. What do you think? :)

So, that is it sewing people of the world! Hope you liked this post and see you soon!

Happy sewing and crafting!

xx
Ana
