The Cutting Corners Quilt pattern is aimed at advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced quilters.

Suggested fabrics and requirements
For the quilt top, backing and bias binding: quilting cotton.
For the batting: 100% cotton or a 80/20 cotton and poly blend.
Find the amount of fabric needed on the instructions. All requirements assume a width of fabric of 43’’. For the backing, you can also use an extra wide backing fabric. The fabrics and colours used on the samples are for reference only.
The fabrics used on the all-solids sample are Pure Elements, kindly gifted by Sew and Quilt.
The fabrics used on the print sample are Ruby Star Society, kindly gifted by A Beautiful Thing.

- Sewing machine.
- Regular cotton thread for piecing the quilt top and to sew the bias binding by hand at the end.
- 1/4’’ quilting foot is recommended to achieve an accurate seam allowance. Also a walking foot.
- Rotary cutter and a cutting mat.
- Optional 6-strand embroidery floss or pearl cotton if hand quilting.
- Others: masking / painters’ tape, fabric pen, scissors, pins and quilting safety pins (curved), clips, needle, quilting rulers...

The Cutting Corners Quilt pattern comes in 3 different sizes:
Baby: with a finished measurement of 40''x40'', this size is perfect to use for a crib or as a decorative wall hanger. It can also make a great present for a loved one. This size requires the less amount of fabric so you can use your scraps from old projects.
Small Throw: the second size is best if you want to cover part of a bed or, for example, place it on a sofa or an armchair. The finished quilt measures 40''x60''.
Large Throw: the final option is the biggest we offer and would fit a twin bed. The final measurement of this size is 60''x80''.
